Seattle Marine & Fishing Supply Co., located in the Pacific Northwest, was founded on December 30, 1947 by Mel Anderson, a University of Washington graduate and former executive of the Seattle wholesale hardware firm of Sunde & d'Evers Co.  Seattle Marine & Fishing Supply, aka “Seamar” was located right on the Seattle Waterfront at Pier 59 until 1975 when Seamar relocated to a new retail, net loft and wholesale complex just outside of the famous Seattle Fishermen’s Terminal across from Ballard.

Seattle Marine & Fishing Supply is a key supplier of products to the commercial fishing, recreational marine and industrial marine market. The Seattle location alone has over 120,000 square feet of facility space located in the heart of the North Pacific Fishing Fleet near Fishermen's terminal in Seattle, WA., with subsidiary locations in Kodiak and Naknek, Alaska, and our newest distribution facility in Bellingham, WA.
